Acesta are ca scop punerea in miscare a gazului freon prin instalatie, astfel incat sa devina gazos si sa poata raci aerul din aeroterma. Compresul functioneaza cu un ambreiaj, de aceea este bine sa dam drumul la AC numai cand motorul merge la relanti, pentru a nu strica fulia compresorului.
