.Intercoolerul este un radiator de racire pentru aer. Acesta este parte din sistemul de admisie. Intercoolerul se foloseste numai la motoarele turbo, racind aerul inainte ca acesta sa intre in motor. Turbina tinde sa incalzeasca aerul din admisie, asa ca acesta trece printr-un intercooler, inainte sa intre in motor. De obicei intercoolerele sunt din aluminiu si se racesc cu aer, dar exista si intercoolere racite cu apa.
