.Rola de ghidaj are rolul, asa cum ii si spune numele, de a ghida o curea, indiferent ca vorbim de cureaua de distributie sau de cureaua de accesorii. Aceasta rola este prinsa pe blocul motor sau pe chiulasa, acolo unde distanta intre doua role de angrenare (ex: rola alternator si rola compresorului A/C) este mare, pentru ca vibratiile transmise de motor sa nu fie preluate de curea, ca apoi aceasta sa sara de pe role.
