Neamt pagina 3.Etrierul este piesa principala a sistemului de franare, care actioneaza asupra discurilor. In etrier se monteaza placutele de franare. Etrierul este format dintr-o piesa metalica solida, fixata prin suruburi de fuzeta, conducta de frana si pistonasele care imping placuta. Etrierul trebuie din cand in cand lubrifiat, astfel incat pistonul sa nu se blocheze si sa se uzeze prematur placutele. Un etrier poate avea unul sau chiar 8 pistonase individuale, in functie de gradul de performanta al masinii.
